Affordable Window Blinds & Shades

If you can’t afford blinds, you can always put shades in your windows. Window shades represent a type of window treatment that involves covering a window with fabric for aesthetic and functional purposes. There are several types of window shades, including cellular shades, roller shades, Roman shades, zebra shades, etc.

First, you should determine whether you want to install horizontal, vertical, or mini blinds. Then, you need to decide if the blinds will be installed inside or outside the window frame. If you’re installing them inside the window frame, measure the length on the left, center, and right sides, and use the longest measurement, measuring to the nearest 1/8’’. Then, measure the width across the top, middle, and bottom of the window opening and use the narrowest measurement, measuring up to the nearest 1/8’’. The instructions for installing budget blinds on the outside of the window frame vary depending on the blind type.

Shades can be both more affordable and more expensive than blinds, depending on the type. For example, basic roller shades can be relatively affordable. On the other hand, custom shades can be quite costly.

While some argue that cellular shades look cheap, others say that’s not true. Since every person is different, it’s impossible to give a universal answer to this question.
