Top-Down Bottom-Up Cellular shades are a great way to have control over both Privacy and Light. Just like the name suggests these Cellular Shades can be raised from the bottom or pulled down from the top. These Shades are great when wanting to allow natural light to come in without losing all of your privacy.

How are they controlled?

Top-Down Bottom-Up Cellular shades can be controlled by the following: Standard Pull Cord or Cordless. Of course Cordless is a safer option when you have small children or pets in the home. When you choose to do a cordless lift option the bottom of your shade will have a small plastic piece to lift it up and down.  If you decide to do a standard pull cord you will have 2 cords (one on each side) to lift and drop the shade. You unfortunately do not have the option to put both lift cords on one side.

Other Options

Another great option aside from Cellular shades is a Solar Shade. Solar Shades provide an economical way to minimize glare, filter out harmful UV rays and control room temperature. Available in different "Openness" Options, these shades can give you privacy during the day while still letting light filter into the home. Of course at night you will not receive the maximum amount of privacy.

What is Openness?

Openness simply means how tight the weave is, and how much light the shade will let in. When choosing the right openness for you, you want to keep in mind the amount of light & privacy you would like. The higher the percentage the more light will come through, the lower the percentage the less light will come through. Percentages range from 1% to 14%.  There are tons of different color options as well as upgrade options to choose from.
